We have a new website!

Welcome to our new website, and thank you for choosing to read my first blog....

For the past few weeks we have been working behind the scenes to create a new website. We understand the importance of our online presence, for existing clients and our potential clients and decided that our one page website was in need of a revamp.

When I decided to give our website an overhaul, one thing I noticed was that when visiting my site, you didn’t get to meet the ‘true me’. I hope people will connect with me now that they have an insight of my background and my passion for bookkeeping and accountancy. I believe it’s vital to connect with my clients, developing a rapport and ensuring that communication is always key.

If you haven’t got a website already for your business then it’s really worth investing in. The investment will be small in comparison to the leads it will generate for you to help your business to thrive. The first point of call when people are looking for a product or service is always the internet, so if you’re not present, you are less likely to be found! A website shows your audience that you are a genuine and credible business, displaying testimonials on your website (as we have) helps your potential clients to make an informed decision about whether or not to use your services or purchase your products. A great recommendation goes a long way in building trust. If you’re a current client of Bluebells Bookkeeping Limited and you don’t have a testimonial on our website, then please drop us an email, we would love to hear from you!

We hope what we have created is captivating and informative. We would appreciate any feedback you have.

Running an ecommerce business is exciting, but as your sales grow, so does the complexity behind the scenes. What worked when you were processing ten orders a week starts to feel creaky when you’re handling ten times that. And nowhere does that strain show up faster than in your bookkeeping.

CIS is HMRC’s way of ensuring tax is collected from workers in the construction industry. If your business uses subcontractors, you’re likely a contractor under CIS and that comes with responsibilities.

Bookkeeping isn’t just a box-ticking exercise. Done well, it creates clarity, strengthens decision-making, and proves that your organisation is financially well-managed. Done poorly, it creates confusion, delays, and doubt.

For many charities, Excel (or Google Sheets) starts as a simple, low-cost way to track income and spending. And in the early days, it can work perfectly well. But as your charity grows, funding becomes more complex, reporting expectations increase, and your team needs clearer visibility of the numbers.

Hiring your first employee (or your next one) is a big moment. It can feel like a leap, especially when budgets are tight, workloads are unpredictable, and you’re already treading water. But hiring isn’t just a “people decision”. It’s a financial decision that affects cashflow, profit, productivity, compliance, and ult

Trivial benefits are a UK tax rule that lets directors and employees receive small perks tax-free, as long as you stick to HMRC’s conditions. Done properly, they’re a neat little win: a morale boost for you or your team, without creating extra tax, National Insurance, or admin.
