Accountant

Part-time ( 15 hours per week)


Responsibilities


  • Prepare and submission of VAT, CIS, Self-Assessment and MTD returns
  • Account reconciliations and preparation of Trial Balances and Year-End Working Papers
  • Act as main client contact, including liaising with HMRC
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, monitoring upcoming deadlines and risks
  • Working closely with the in-house bookkeeping team, and the wider team to deliver a high quality service
  • Providing support to the team when required


Requirements

  • AAT or ICB Level 4 Qualified
  • Strong working knowledge of UK VAT, CIS, and Self-Assessment taxes
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing deadlines
  • Uk-based with the right to work in the UK
  • Ability to commute to East Grinstead (occasionally or as required) - Desirable

Bookkeeper

Part-time (8 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Client liaison - assisting with bookkeeping and software queries
  • Processing of sales and purchase ledger entries
  • Bank/credit card reconciliations
  • Creating missing item reports
  • Credit control
  • Assisting with software set up
  • Assisting with the preparation of weekly and monthly payrolls for approval
  • Use of QuickBooks, Xero, FreeAgent, Office 365 and practice management software
  • Providing other ad-hoc finance and administration tasks as required to support the rest of the team
  • Providing cover for team members during their absence


Requirements

  • AAT/ICB Level 3
  • Payroll experience
  • QuickBooks/Xero experience
  • Attention to detail
